My first foray into web development was way back in 2004 when my boss demanded that I build her a new website because I was “good at computers...and the internet." It was at that point that I began devoting most of my waking hours to learning how to be a developer. Since then I've spent most of my career as a front end developer working at agencies in Nashville, Chicago and Seattle.

As a Lead Interactive Developer at Roundarch Isobar, I was the primary front end developer on a project that used JavaScriptMVC, LESS/CSS and EJS templates and interacted with the backend via AJAX and REST web services. I made architectural decisions about application front ends, oversaw the work of junior developers and wrote a lot of code. You can find more information about my work at Roundarch here.

Freelance Interactive Developer

June 2006 to February 2008

After four years of being "The Web Guy" at a music distribution company, I started freelancing full time. I developed websites and Flash ecards (remember those?) and did some atrocious MySpace customizations for practically anyone who would pay me.
